Key findings
Of 2,313 reports, 70.2% involved GLP-1 RAs; DPP-4 ROR 13.2 and GLP-1 ROR 9.65 were elevated; liraglutide had the highest GLP-1 association (ROR 6.83); ~17.7% of reports were serious.
Methodology
Researchers mined FAERS (2019–2021) for pancreatitis with GLP-1 RAs, DPP-4 inhibitors, and SGLT2 inhibitors, requiring concurrence of ROR, PRR, EBGM, and IC for a signal.
Limitations
Not incidence rates or proven causation—spontaneous reporting cannot adjust fully for indication, comorbidity, or reporting bias.
