Developments across the published libraries, ranked by evidence, connection, and — if you follow topics — relevance to you. Each card is a movement in the literature: what changed, how the evidence is labeled, and why it matters.

Each development carries an evidence label. What the labels mean

Latest is ordered by when PaperFren added the explanation, not by the study's original publication date.

One methylation clock reads age across nearly every human tissue

Evidence: Established

What changed

A multi-tissue clock works, which reframes methylation drift as a systemic phenomenon. It predicts age; it does not show that methylation causes aging, and its accuracy varies by tissue and disease state.

Genes fire in bursts, and the randomness is built into the gene

Evidence: Established

What changed

Bursting is a property of the gene, and the intrinsic/extrinsic decomposition attributes most of the spread to the locus. The study does not map burst kinetics for every gene or in tissue, and it does not identify a single molecular switch.
