In a 6-month RCT (3 months rehab + 3 months observation), COPD patients were randomized 1:1 to WeChat-based PeR versus face-to-face comparison care, tracking CAT, Ex-SRES, and symptoms.
What they found
PeR improved self-efficacy and quality of life and eased symptoms; health improvement was 2.24× higher with high vs low Ex-SRES; dropout was 11.3%.
