What they did

What they found
After Pavlov’s death (1936) Liddell aimed to bridge human and animal insanity. Psychoanalysts denied animal neurosis; Pavlov and Liddell insisted on it. Pigs proved too dangerous; goats contrasted with docile sheep. By 1952, 45 sheep and 100 goats allowed long standardised stress. The farm mixed lab control with pasture observation.
